How to watch Premier League football for free on Amazon Prime

1/21

Amazon Prime have no plans to suspend their one-month trial to new customers during December, meaning fans can watch Premier League football for free over the festive period.

Next season’s Premier League fixtures were announced yesterday with Amazon Prime broadcasting two rounds of games in December.

The online streaming giant has the rights to show all of the fixtures over one midweek in early December and the other over Christmas, including the traditional Boxing Day programme. Currently a subscription to Amazon Prime costs £7.99 a month or £79 for the whole year if customers pay upfront.

However the company also offers new customers the chance to take up a one-month free trial, which can be cancelled at the end for no cost.

That had led to speculation it could be suspended in December to stop people simply taking up a free trial and then cancelling it once they had watched the two rounds of Premier League games.

But the decision to not suspend the introductory offer is born out of the belief that customers will decide to take up a paid subscription to Amazon Prime once the month-long free-trial has ended.
