England Women close out a historic 2022 with two friendlies in Spain, starting tonight against Japan.

A stunning 2022 saw the Lionesses win their first major international crown with the summer Euro 2022 win and now look ahead of the Women's World Cup next year.

But first, head coach Sarina Wiegman must negotiate two more games, with a strong Japan side lying in wait at the Pinatar Arena in Murcia.

Fran Kirby, Jordan Nobbs, Lucy Bronze, Alex Greenwood Lauren Hemp are all not involved due to either illness or fitness concerns. The absentees should see the likes of Lotte Wubben-Moy, Niamh Charles or Maya Le Tissier afforded a chance to impress.
