Manchester United's Europa League Final win will see Tottenham's hopes of progressing far in next season's Champions League severely hampered.
With the domestic seasons coming to a conclusion, the makeup of Europe's elite competition is already taking shape with coefficients being considered.
Ahead of the Sweden showpiece, Tottenham were in with a chance of making Pot 2, joining the likes of Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Borussia Dortmund and Paris Saint-Germain.
However, with United now moving straight into the group stage having qualified via the Europa League, their far superior coefficient of 93,315 sees them in Pot 2 with no space for Spurs.
Tottenham are now definitely in Pot 3 with a coefficient of 77,135, along with the confirmed qualified Anderlecht, Basel and Liverpool - should the latter navigate the play-off round - which means a far tougher draw.
Ajax (67,212) would have joined Spurs in Pot 3 if they won at the Friends Arena, leaving Mauricio Pochettino's men and Napoli vying for a spot and eyes on Sevilla in the August play-offs.
