Wilfried Zaha has proven himself to be the Nelson Muntz of the Crystal Palace training ground with a snap of one of his team-mate’s cars.

Zaha asked his followers to guess who had turned up in a classic Mini Cooper on Thursday before it was revealed that 6ft 3in Connor Wickham owned the vehicle, bringing to mind the classic scene from Simpsons episode 22 Short Films About Springfield. You know the one.

How the Crystal Palace striker managed to fit his sizeable frame into the famously tiny car is beyond us but he seemed to have a smile on his face when he was pictured leaving the Beckenham training ground.

Wickham told Talksport: “I knew it was going to get a bit of attention, but it's something I like doing. I've always wanted a Mini classic from the year of my birth. Some people like the Range Rovers, but the Mini is something different.

“Me personally, I get more enjoyment driving that Mini than I would a driving a flashy super car.”
