Crystal Palace in talks with Manchester United over move for Dean Henderson

Eagles interested in loan move with obligation to buy

Crystal Palace are in talks with Manchester United over a move for goalkeeper Dean Henderson.

Palace are interested in a loan with an obligation to buy the 26-year-old next summer.

Veteran Spaniard Vicente Guaita is refusing to play for Palace after losing his No1 spot to Sam Johnstone, leaving the Eagles in the market for a new goalkeeper.

Henderson spent last season on loan at Nottingham Forest, who are also interested in signing him.

Palace are targeting several signings and Roy Hodgson has backed owner Steve Parish and sporting director Dougie Freedman to deliver.

The manager said: "They have shown what a good job the recruitment has been here. It would not surprise me if they had some [surprises planned]."

Wilfried Zaha left the club earlier this summer but Michael Olise has signed a new contract despite interest from Chelsea.
