Harry Kane to make 100th Premier League appearance for Tottenham

Harry Kane will make his 100th Premier League appearance for Tottenham this evening.

Mauricio Pochettino's side face Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium and Kane will lead the north Londoners' front line.

The 23-year-old has established himself as a key figure at Spurs in recent years but he could have been excused for believing his chance would never arrive not so long ago.

Kane spent four loan spells away from his parent club before finally forcing his way into the first team on a regular basis.

And the goals have flowed for the striker, who has scored a total of 62 top-flight goals to date.

Last season's tally of 25 was enough to win the Golden Boot and Kane is also set to be in the running for the award this term, having already found the net 13 times.

But the forward's contribution is not just restricted to goals as he has chipped in with seven assists for his teammates since making his Premier League debut during the 2012/13 season.

Kane has also won a trio of Player of the Month trophies (January 2015, February 2015, March 2016).

The England international signed a new contract in December 2016 and has no intention of leaving White Hart Lane.

"I am happy at the club and want to be here for a long, long time - and I am sure I will be,” Kane said after agreeing his new deal.
