Hall catches Parky's eye

Charlton trialist Ryan Hall boosted his chances of a permanent deal after playing a starring role in the 2-0 win over Chelsea reserves yesterday.

The Bromley midfielder scored a fine opener before having his cross diverted into the Chelsea net during an impressive display. The 22-year-old is a product of Crystal Palace's youth academy but failed to break through at Selhurst Park and was unable to get a deal after a trial at Dagenham.

However, he has been in good form with the nonLeague side this season and Charlton boss Phil Parkinson is among a host of admirers.
