Georges-Kevin N'Koudou has apologised to Tottenham fans after being pictured wearing a Chelsea training top.

The midfielder, who struggled for first-team chances during his debut season, posed for a selfie with a fan wearing recent rival attire.

The 22-year-old quickly explained that he was simply wearing a shirt his friend, and Chelsea striker, Michy Batshuayi gave him but noted it may have been a mistake.

"Lol [at] clickbait," he wrote in reply to an article about the shirt.

"I'm wearing the shirt my friend Michy Batshuayi gave me. No disrespect here just old friendship sorry for not knowing."

N'Koudou's future in north London is far from certain heading into the new season.

Standard Sport understands Mauricio Pochettino is looking to shuffle his squad again after being less than impressed with his fringe players, including the France Under-21 international.

Ross Barkley and Lemar are being coveted for upgrades in attacking midfield, while Moussa Sissoko is keen to leave to boost his chances at next summer's World Cup.
