Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has admitted that he cannot get a game back at the Emirates, despite being fully fit and ‘ready to go’.

The 25-year-old, who spent last season on loan at Bournemouth, caused a stir when he commented on former teammate Tyrone Mings’ Instagram post announcing the opening of his academy.

Wilshere, who is yet to make an appearance for the first team since his return to north London, wrote: “Do you take 25-year-olds who can’t get a game? I’m fully fit and ready go.”

The England international has only featured for the development side so far and was sent off in a Premier League 2 encounter with Manchester City last month.

Arsenal were open to offers for the midfielder, who has 160 Gunners appearances to his name, over the summer, however, Wilshere is keen to establish himself back at the Emirates after years of injury trouble stunting his progression at the club.
