Dougie Freedman sounded like a broken record after yet more away day misery for Crystal Palace.

Freedman's team lost 1-0 at Burnley on Saturday - their 14th defeat on the road this season - as the Palace manager's dogged defensive plan was left in tatters in the first few minutes, when Jay Rodriguez smashed home the winner.

"We gave it a good go and we all know if you're going to go down, you have to go down fighting like that," the Palace boss said. "We will not go down without a fight and we showed that. I strongly believe we have the characters to defend the way we did and make chances."
