Crystal Palace striker Fraizer Campbell struggled to hide his delight following Alan Pardew's dismissal on Thursday.

The Palace boss was axed following a run of just one Premier League win in 11 matches and departed with the club left languishing precariously above the top flight relegation zone.

Club chairman Steve Parish said in a statement: “I would like to put on record our sincere gratitude for the tremendous service Alan has given us.

"During his tenure Alan’s hard work and dedication were without question, he has improved so many areas of the Club."

But it seems not everyone at the club was enjoying Pardew's work at Selhurst Park.

Campbell, who has struggled to hold down a regular starting place at Palace under two permanent managers since his arrival in 2014, took to Instagram and 'liked' the club's official post confirming Pardew's sacking.

The post read: "Crystal Palace F.C. have today asked Alan Pardew to step down as manager of the club."

The former Manchester United and Tottenham man is yet to make a Premier League start this season, but came on to score a crucial late equaliser at Hull earlier this month as Pardew clung to his job.
