Four reasons why Chelsea can beat Manchester City

Vaishali Bhardwaj17 August 2015

Jose Mourinho will go into Chelsea's Premier League clash against Manchester City this weekend knowing that a win for Manuel Pellegrini's will see his defending champions slip five points behind their rivals with only two games played.

The Portuguese tactician admitted his side knew they had a "bad" result last Saturday when the Blues laboured to a 2-2 draw at home to Swansea City, a match that also saw Thibaut Courtois receive a straight red card.

Meanwhile, City had no problems securing a victory in their opening game of the new campaign after comfortably beating West Brom 3-0 on Monday evening.

With Chelsea having become embroiled in a row over the demotion of first-team doctor Eva Carneiro, Mourinho will be aiming to focus his attentions on getting a result away to City.

But how will the Blues boss attempt to come away from the Etihad Stadium with at least a point?

Standard Sport's Vaishali Bhardwaj highlights four ways the Portuguese manager could set up his team to get a result over City on Sunday.
