Filipe Luis expects Chelsea to be under intense pressure this season with Jose Mourinho determined to avoid ending another campaign empty handed.
Since Roman Abramovich bought the club in 2003, the Blues have never had back-to-back seasons without a trophy. Last term was also a rare failure for manager Mourinho, who won a club competition every year between 2003 and 2012.
Chelsea have strengthened their squad this summer to ensure they get back to winning ways and one of the arrivals, left-back Luis, says the squad must deliver.
“Wherever Mourinho goes, he is a champion,” said the £16million arrival from Atletico Madrid. “Last year Chelsea did not win anything so we know this year the demand will be
huge. He is the first to require the maximum from his players.

“I played a lot against him, I know the difficulty and I think all the players want to work with him.
“Players grow and give their best. He squeezes and gets the best out of each player.
“I had other offers this summer but from the moment Chelsea entered into contention, I did not think twice. I wanted to change countries and England has always been my priority.
“I had a dream to work with Mourinho and Chelsea have won many titles in recent years. It was very easy for me to decide.”
Luis played a major part in Atletico Madrid winning La Liga and reaching the Champions League Final but he was left out of Brazil’s World Cup squad by Luiz Felipe Scolari.
