Watch Barcelona squad in training during coronavirus pandemic ahead of LaLiga return

Barcelona continue to work towards the proposed restart date of LaLiga next month.

First-team players returned to the club's Sant Joan Despi base for coronavirus testing last week, ending a 53-day absence due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Players will start to train in small groups and progress to full sessions before resuming games.

LaLiga remains on track to return in June, though the league have not confirmed an exact timeline.

Barcelona were back on the training pitch last Friday, with Real Madrid following suit on Monday.

The return to light duties have not come without setbacks as defender Samuel Umtiti sustained a calf injury on his return to individual training.

The 26-year-old French centre back has struggled with knee and foot problems in the last few seasons and Barca said there was no time frame for his return to training.
