FA investigate after team are secretly taped

11 April 2012

The Football Association have launched an investigation after conversations between England players and coaches were recorded.

Discussions involving coach Fabio Capello and the squad are understood to have been secretly taped at the Grove Hotel ahead of the friendly against Egypt.

The news is another unwelcome distraction for Capello following the recent revelations surrounding the private lives of Chelsea defenders John Terry and Ashley Cole.
