Standard Sport assesses the individual performances from Chelsea’s remarkable 6-3 win against Everton at Goodison Park, as five goals in 11 second-half minutes contributed to a hugely entertaining game.
Chelsea were 2-0 up after just three minutes through goals from Diego Costa and Branislav Ivanovic, but Kevin Mirallas halved the deficit for Everton with a bullet header on the stroke of half-time.
A Seamus Coleman own goal after 67 minutes looked to have settled things, but Stephen Naismith got one back a minute later.
Nemanja Matic then made it 4-2 after 74 minutes, before Everton once again recovered and Chelsea old boy Samuel Eto’o came off the bench to make it 4-3 just two minutes later.
No sooner had Everton celebrated that goal than Chelsea restored their two-goal cushion, as Ramires ran through and fired past Howard with the outside of his foot.
The Toffees were finally beaten, and Diego Costa inflicted further misery on the home side when he scored his second of the game in stoppage time.
