The Premier League season is just over a week away and time is running out for clubs to conduct further business before the football begins.

Arsenal have been relatively busy already, given that Arsene Wenger didn't sign an outfield player last summer, but plenty of Gunners fans are urging him to dig into his pockets again.

However, Standard Sport understands the Gunners have cooled their interest on Julian Draxler, which could pave the way for the Germany international to move to another Premier League club.

Here's our pick of today's transfer gossip...

Everton have made an ambitious approach to sign Wolfsburg midfielder Julian Draxler, reports the Independent.

The 22-year-old has spoken of his desire to leave Wolfsburg and the Toffees are determined to try and sign one of Europe's brightest young talents.
