Joe Ledley has revealed that he might have to put his wedding plans on hold if Wales continue to exceed expectations at the Euros this summer.

Ledley and his team-mates will be reunited with their loved ones today after three weeks away, with Wales flying high after overtaking England to win Group B last night.

Chris Coleman’s men demolished Russia 3-0 in Toulouse and will now play one of the third-placed sides in Paris on Saturday with a real chance of progressing to the quarter-finals.

And for Ledley that could prove difficult as he has also made plans to marry his partner, Ruby, this summer. Although he won’t reveal the date, he said they may have to think again if Wales continue to surprise.

“Yes probably but we’ll wait and see what happens. Obviously football comes first, she understands that, and we’re just honoured to be here.”

Wales have not been to a tournament since 1958 and Ledley said: “We’re still learning what it is all about, not just on the pitch but off it as well.

“It’s a new environment for us, we’re not used to this but we’ve dealt with it pretty well. We miss our families but we need to stick together as players.”
