EPL Table: 2017-18 Premier League standings for gameweek 8

Standard Sport16 October 2017

Leicester remain in the bottom three of the Premier League despite Riyad Mahrez earning the Foxes a 1-1 home draw against West Brom on Monday night.

Nacer Chadli gave West Brom the lead at the King Power Stadium with a superb free-kick which left Kasper Schmeichel static, but Mahrez atoned for missing an earlier sitter by volleying home to level the scores.

Craig Shakespeare's Foxes finished the brighter of the two teams, but Tony Pulis' side held on for a point to climb above Southampton into 10th place in the table.

The result leaves both sides winless in six games, and 2015-16 champions Leicester will need to start picking up points if they are to avoid another relegation battle like last season.
