The Premier League season concluded less than a month ago but we are already looking ahead to the next campaign.

Chelsea will be reigning champions, hoping to avoid another disaster title defence, while second-placed Tottenham begin life at Wembley Stadium after a record-breaking final term at White Hart Lane.

We welcome Newcastle United back into the division, along with Premier League newcomers Brighton and Play-Off Final winners Huddersfield.

It's goodbye to Sunderland, Middlesbrough and Hull City.

So when can we start getting excited? The first step towards the new season is the fixture announcement.

The new season will start on the weekend of August 12 and 13. The final day of the 2017/18 season will land on Sunday, May 13, 2018.

The date for the likes of Fulham, Millwall and Brentford to keep on eye on is June 21.

The fixtures for the new Football League season are revealed a week later than the Premier League's. while the season proper will begin seven days earlier on August 5.
