Calum Chambers claims the presence of five Arsenal team-mates in the England squad has made it easier for him to make the step up to senior international football.

The 19-year-old is pushing to start tomorrow’s Euro 2016 qualifier against Slovenia and is in a squad featuring club-mates Jack Wilshere, Kieran Gibbs, Theo Walcott, Danny Welbeck and Alex Oxlade‑Chamberlain.

Chambers made his debut in September against Norway and has since won two more caps.

He said: "It's been a mad few months for me, a whirlwind, it's a really nice surprise and I just want to keep working hard to get my opportunity again and again.

"Making my debut was an amazing occasion. I was nervous and a little bit scared but everyone put me at ease. I had all of my family and friends there to support me, and I was excited to win my first cap.

"Its nice to be on England duty with the Arsenal boys. We all sit round the dinner table and it’s a good laugh there. There's different training but we all really enjoy it and it’s nice to be there with them."
