England moved a step closer to securing their place at next year’s World Cup with a five goal win over Andorra.

Jack Grealish and Ben Chilwell both scored their first goals for the Three Lions as Bukayo Saka, Tammy Abraham and James Ward-Prowse also got on the score sheet.

Here is how James Robson rated the Three Lions in Andorra...

Sam Johnstone 6

A spectator. But then pulled off a brilliant assist with his quick thinking to set up Grealish for England’s fifth.

Kieron Trippier 6

Captain for the night and happy to press forward as Andorra sat back to try to create space on the overlap.

John Stones 6

Will be happy to get some minutes at last this season. But this was little more than a training ground exercise for him.

Conor Coady 6

Had some dangerous moments when venturing forward for set pieces. Never troubled from a defensive perspective.

Ben Chilwell 8

Would not even be in the squad if not for injury to Reece James. An attacking presence and got his first England goal to open the scoring.

Phil Foden 9

A masterclass. Given some rough treatment from Andorra, who tried to bully him. Big mistake. He made them pay by creating England’s first two goals.

James Ward-Prowse 7

Some intelligent use of the ball and a danger with his set-piece deliveries. Looks right back at home in an England shirt and got on the score sheet, despite seeing his penalty saved.

Jesse Lingard 6

Did not manage to hurt Andorra enough in the final third, but worked hard to keep England in total control of midfield.

Bukayo Saka 7

Wonderful control and a stunning finish to double England’s lead before half time. Repeatedly got behind Andorra’s defence.

Tammy Abraham 7

His first England start in four years and on the score sheet. After rebuilding his career in Italy, he is the man leading the charge to be Harry Kane’s back-up.

Jadon Sancho 8

He needed a night like this after a difficult start at Manchester United. Set up two goals and made dangerous runs all night.

Substitutes

Fikayo Tomori (Stones, 60’) 5

Good to get minutes, but was never going to be troubled.

Jack Grealish (Sancho, 72’) 7

Came on and immediately caused problems – including winning a penalty and then getting a breakaway goal.

Mason Mount (Lingard, 72’) 6

Sharp runs opened Andorra up as the home side tired late on.

Ollie Watkins (Abraham, 79’) 4

Should have converted late chance.

Subs not used: Pickford, Ramsdale, Walker, Mings, Henderson, Rice, Sterling, Kane
