England manager Roy Hodgson will not name his Euro 2016 until Monday 16 May in order to have more time to assess players' fitness after the final round of Premier League fixtures.
The 23-man selection was initially due to be revealed today but has been pushed back.
The official UEFA deadline for England's squad to be submitted ahead of the finals is not until Tuesday 31 May.
An FA statement read: "Following a meeting at The FA with his coaching staff, the Three Lions boss decided to switch his announcement from this Thursday in order to better assess players’ fitness after the final games of the Premier League season."

Several players are carrying injuries ahead of the announcement, including Arsenal striker Danny Welbeck.
The 25-year-old only returned to fitness in February after a 10-month absence but injured his knee during the Gunners' 2-2 draw at Manchester City.
Welbeck is expected to miss Arsenal's final day clash with Aston Villa and the severity of his injury is being assessed by his club this week.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has already been ruled out of the tournament while Jack Wilshere is hoping to prove his fitness after returning from a broken leg in April.
Doubts have also surrounded Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson, who recently damaged his knee ligaments, but Jurgen Klopp has said the midfielder will be available if selected.
