Embargo lifted on Crystal Palace after Alan Lee fee is paid

11 April 2012

Crystal Palce have revealed their transfer embargo has been lifted.

The Championship side were blocked from making signings last month due to outstanding funds owed to Ipswich for Alan Lee.

Lee joined the club in the summer of 2008 for £650,000 but struggled to make an impact and was loaned to Norwich at the end of last season. He has scored three goals since returning to Palace this season.

Chairman Simon Jordan revealed the transfer restraint was ended two weeks ago but Palace fans should not anticipate a host of new names arriving in the near future.

Jordan said: "There will be no more transfers coming in during the January window."
