Eden Hazard has praised David Luiz's "funny" personality and insists it's good to have people like the Chelsea defender in the dressing room.

Luiz, who has been a key figure in Chelsea's first-team since returning to the club from Paris Saint-Germain last year, became the centre of attention on Sunday after being left out of Antonio Conte's squad to face Manchester United.

It is believed that the Chelsea boss took the decision to omit one of his first-choice central defenders from his team after Luiz questioned his tactics following the 3-0 loss to Roma in the Champions League.

Hazard is currently away on international duty with Belgium but, in an interview with Sky Sports' Soccer AM that was recorded in October but aired on Saturday, the winger praised the effect Luiz has on the Chelsea dressing room.

When asked who the funniest member of the Chelsea team is, Hazard replied: "David Luiz, the geezer.

"[He's] Always smiling, he is in a good mood every time, so it is good to have people like this in the changing room. He is funny."
