As part of the npower What's Your Goal? initiative, 11 lucky teenagers were selected to get work experience of a lifetime; taking over Leyton Orient as they played MK Dons on Saturday.

Earlier this year, Orient chairman Barry Hearn called for ambitious 16-18 year olds in east London to apply for the chance to shadow one of 11 Orient mentors and put their skills to the test by taking over on match day, a very first for the club.

The 11 teens got a rare behind-the-scenes look into Orient, by shadowing their mentor’s day-to-day routine to gain a real insight into the world of work in football

Following intense training with their chosen mentor, the 11 youngsters were asked to take on their role on match day. Whether it was organising the post-match press conference, or taking over the stadium commentator's box during the match, the teens were put through their paces.

Hearn said: "We've been really impressed with the high standard of applicants who have applied for this exciting opportunity at the club. The youngsters of East London have really shown their passion, ability and enthusiasm to kick-start their careers in the football industry.”
