Crystal Palace's Holmesdale Fanatics confirm return to Selhurst Park for remainder of season

Crystal Palace's Holmesdale Fanatics have confirmed their return to Selhurst Park for Saturday's visit of Burnley and the remainder of the season.

The group of 'ultras' have been prominent supporters in the Holmesdale Road End for the 13 seasons but have not been present this season after the club refused to move them to Block E, placed directly by the goal.

The week Palace confirmed plans for a "singing section" in Block E from next season, moving the Holmesdale Fanatics from their traditional position of near the corner in Block B.

Following this news, the Fanatics will be back in Block B as the club continue their fight against relegation.

"As a group, our absence this season was never a boycott, or an action against fellow fans or players, but, as laid out previously, a result of the circumstances we have found ourselves in," the statement read.

"We have been present in the stadium alongside everyone supporting our club, but the situation our team finds itself in requires urgent action.

"Burnley is a crucial game, huge for the club and it's up to us to do whatever we can to help the lads pick up points and start climbing the table.

"With that said, the group will be officially returning to block B from today for the remainder of the season.

"We have moved as many of us back into the front section as numbers will allow and will give it everything alongside the rest of the support to power the club out of this.

"For the many that have got behind us, thank you for your support. Now lets put the last few months aside and give Roy and the lads the backing they deserve."
