Crystal Palace captain Luka Milivojevic has signed a new four-year deal.

The Palace penalty-taker has topped the club's goalscoring charts in consecutive seasons and played every minute of the Premier League campaign last term.

The Serbian, who joined Palace from Olympiakos in 2017 for £11million, had one year left to run on his previous deal and was linked with a move to Italy in the summer.

AC Milan and Lazio were monitoring his situation but Palace have now agreed fresh terms with their set piece specialist.

Palace chairman Steve Parish said: “Luka has been a fantastic player and leader for the club for two and a half years. His contribution really has been immense and I am delighted that he has agreed to pledge his long term future to Crystal Palace.”

Meanwhile, Roy Hodgson says he will not hesitate to play Wilfried Zaha when Palace open their campaign against Everton at Selhurst Park on Saturday.

Zaha was devastated after failing to secure a deadline day move to Goodison Park and was not in the right state of mind to train on Thursday. However, he was back with the squad on Friday and Hodgson is preparing to include the Ivory Coast international in his matchday squad.
