Roy Hodgson will meet with Crystal Palace co-owner Steve Parish and director of football Dougie Freedman to learn whether the club can keep Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi.

Batshuayi moved to Palace on loan in January, joining the club on a deal until the end of the season.

However, that deal contained no option-to-buy clause and as such if the Eagles want to keep the striker, they will have to negotiate with Chelsea.

The Belgian is likely to command a fee of over £30million, while his wages could also prove to be a stumbling block for Palace.

Hodgson, however, will know the state of play later this month when he meets with Freedman and Parish.

The trio will talk through Crystal Palace’s summer transfer plans and when asked by Standard Sport if there was any chance of keeping Batshuayi, Hodgson replied: “It has not been discussed yet so I couldn’t say.

“We we will have a meeting and until such time I have got no idea what finances and funds will be available.

“Batshuayi is a Chelsea player, so as far as I am concerned it will have to be a question as much for Chelsea as us. We can’t just presume that he is available.”

As well as Batshuayi, Palace will need to resolve the future of fellow Belgian Christian Benteke in the summer.

The striker, who is out of Saturday's game with Cardiff City due to a cheekbone injury, will have one year left on his contract come June.
