Daniel Sturridge returned to the Liverpool starting line-up for their vital Barclays Premier League clash at Crystal Palace as Brendan Rodgers' side looked to move back to the top of the table.

The 23-goal striker has been suffering from a hamstring problem and was only fit enough for the bench in last weekend's 2-0 defeat to Chelsea but he replaced Philippe Coutinho in the Reds' only change for the game at Selhurst Park.

The hosts also made just one alteration from their last outing as Kagisho Dikgacoi was recalled into midfield, with Marouane Chamakh in a lone striker role as Cameron Jerome made way.

Crystal Palace: Speroni, Mariappa, Dann, Delaney, Ward, Puncheon, Dikgacoi, Jedinak, Bolasie, Ledley, Chamakh. Subs: Parr, Ince, O'Keefe, Gayle, Murray, Gabbidon, Hennessey.

Liverpool: Mignolet, Johnson, Skrtel, Sakho, Flanagan, Gerrard, Lucas, Allen, Sterling, Suarez, Sturridge. Subs: Brad Jones, Toure, Agger, Aspas, Coutinho, Moses, Cissokho.
