Crystal Palace cut short their deal for Victor Camarasa on Monday, opening the door for the club to add up to three more players on loan this month.

The Spaniard, who has now joined Alaves in LaLiga for the rest of the season, made just one Premier League appearance for the Eagles - a five-minute cameo off the bench in a 4-0 defeat at Tottenham in September.

With manager Roy Hodgson looking to add up to five new faces to his Palace squad this month, Camarasa's departure frees up much-needed space in south London.

The Eagles, who signed Cenk Tosun on loan from Everton last week, remain in talks over a deal to bring in Tottenham right-back Kyle Walker-Peters until the end of the season as Hodgson pushes desperately to bolster his backline ahead of the trip to Manchester City this weekend.

Premier League clubs are allowed to register up to four players on loan deals, though only two may come from fellow English clubs, meaning any other additions from domestic rivals would have to be on a permanent basis.

Palace remain in the hunt for another striker this month and are keeping tabs on Michy Batshuayi's situation at Chelsea as well as Genk's Mbwana Samatta.
