Steve Parish has revealed Crystal Palace's current injury troubles may force them to deal in the January transfer market.

Both Connor Wickham and Yannick Bolasie are out until late January, while Dwight Gayle is sidelined with a hamstring problem. Marouane Chamakh, meanwhile, is returning to match fitness after recovering from a long-term injury and Patrick Bamford terminated his season-long loan prematurely earlier this week.

It leaves Alan Pardew desperately short up top, with Fraizer Campbell, who started Palace's Boxing Day trip to Bournemouth, the only recognised striker who is match sharp.

Though the money injected by American investors Joshua Harris and David Blitzer will not be used to bolster the playing squad, both will be consulted on January dealings as Parish prepares to bolster the squad in the New Year.

What does January hold for Crystal Palace?

Asked if injuries will force him to do business in January, the Palace chief told the Croydon Advertiser: "Maybe, yes, maybe it does,"

"We're going to have to take a look at the situation. It feels like, if we can, we could do with a little bit of something just to help everybody inside a tough period, so we'll see what we can do.

"David and Joshua are away at the moment with pre-planned things, but I'll give them an update now and we'll have a chat over what we're going to do."
