Whirlwind week: Keshi Anderson
Giuseppe Muro4 February 2015

Crystal Palace new-boy Keshi Anderson capped a whirlwind week with a goal on his debut.

Anderson joined on deadline day from non-League Barton Rovers and made a fine start to his Palace career by scoring for the Under-21s against Millwall yesterday.

The 19-year-old forward last week netted a six-minute hat-trick against Palace in a trial match for Brentford. He then signed an 18-month contract at Selhurst Park on Monday and went straight into action against Millwall.

Anderson, who came off the bench in the second half to seal a 3-0 win, has scored 19 goals for Barton Rovers in the Southern League Division One Central this season.

Meanwhile, Scott Dann has spoken of his frustration at Palace’s slow starts as they prepare for Saturday’s trip to bottom-side Leicester.

Palace are four points above the relegation zone after their 1-0 loss at home to Everton last week when Romelu Lukaku scored after just two minutes.

“We can’t keep falling behind and giving teams a head start,” said defender Dann. “More often than not you can’t get back in the game and that showed here. We need to make sure we stop conceding early goals.”
