Crystal Palace gear up for battle

Survival goal: leading scorer Darren Ambrose is confident Palace can stop rivals Wednesday

The battle cries are ringing around Crystal Palace's Beckenham training ground again after the players were given two days off before their survival showdown at Sheffield Wednesday on Sunday.

Darren Ambrose, Palace's leading scorer with 19 goals this season, said: "Wednesday are going to be more nervous than us. They need a win and we have the players to stop that."

But captain Shaun Derry went further. He said: "We have to be hard to beat and then win the game. These boys try every single week, whenever the shirt is put on their back. I've never played in a team like it."
