Crystal Palace fans have called for a solution to the tickets row with supporter group the Holmesdale Fanatics after the atmosphere "suffered" during Monday's defeat to Liverpool at Selhurst Park.
The HF, who have sat in Block B in the lower corner of the Holmesdale Stand since 2005, have helped Selhurst Park win a reputation for having one of the Premier League's best atmospheres, backing the team with vocal support and colourful displays.
Last season, the group held discussions with Palace about relocating to a block directly behind the goal with a view to creating a larger singing section and taking the atmosphere up a level.
The club say they found season ticket holders who would be displaced by the change were reluctant to move, and as a consequence the HF opted against buying up their regular 100 seats in Block B for the 2018-19 season.
The HF have not disbanded and are keen to find a solution and members of the group were at the game on Monday to support Palace from different areas of the ground.
A statement from their Twitter account ahead of the game said: "No time for pointing fingers. We won't be active as a group tonight but as always, we're there alongside everyone, supporting our club.
"Lets get behind Roy and the lads. Big season ahead."
But regulars felt the mood suffered without the HF orchestrating the Palace support, with one saying their absence "killed the atmosphere".
