Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew has accused Christian Benteke of taking a dramatic fall to win a late penalty at Selhurst Park on Sunday.

The Palace boss was speaking after watching his extend their winless league run to 12 matches after surrendering a 1-0 lead against 10-man Liverpool.

Joe Ledley had fired the Eagles in front before James Milner's red card for a careless second bookable offence seemed to put the result beyond doubt.

But Alex McCarthy then slipped as he attempted to send a kick long and Roberto Firmino pounced to draw the Reds level before Christian Benteke won a penalty following contact from Damien Delaney.

Benteke picked himself up to dispatch the 94th-minute penalty, but Pardew was disappointed with the way the Belgium striker made the most of minimal contact from Delaney.

"If you feel that touch is enough to bring someone down like that... It's an issue that's worrying in the game," the Palace boss said.

Asked where his frustration lies, Pardew said: "Both of them (Benteke and the linesman). That touch doesn't warrant that dive.

"We've had decisions where Wilf gets completely wiped out and it's not given. And that one? Wow, you've got to be sure.

"We're looking at that in super slow motion and you can then see a knee on the back of the foot. Anyway, enough of that."
