Queens Park Rangers slipped further into relegation trouble as they were put to the sword by Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

The result leaves QPR three points safety with nine games remaining but the manner of this defeat will be more concerning to Chris Ramsey.

QPR were abject and it was all too easy for Palace, who scored three times in the first half through Wilfried Zaha, James McArthur and Joel Ward.

Matt Phillips scored a consolation late on with a contender for goal of the season but Palace move onto 33 points, 11 above the bottom three, and a step closer to safety.

Alan Pardew’s side went ahead on 21 minutes when a Yannick Bolasie crossed from the left was turned home by Zaha from close range.

Bolasie was the provider again when Palace doubled their lead five minutes before half time through McArthur.

QPR were all over the place at the back and Palace made it three just two minutes later when Ward scored his first goal for the club, receiving Zaha's pass and curling the ball beyond Rob Green.

Palace had Jason Puncheon and Zaha forced off with injury early in the second half but QPR never threatened to get back into the game.

Phillips pulled a goal back with spectacular effort from around 40 yards that flew past Julian Speroni and into the top-left corner on 83 minutes.
