Christian Pulisic signs for AC Milan and takes Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s shirt number

Christian Pulisic has completed his £20million move to AC Milan from Chelsea.

The Italian club today unveiled their new winger after he arrived in Milan on Wednesday morning and underwent a medical.

Chelsea fielded offers from Lyon and the Rossoneri for Pulisic, who made clear his desire to sign for the Serie A giants despite Lyon’s initially making a higher bid.

Milan have signed the player to a four-year deal with the option of a further 12 months.

Pulisic, 24, is set to don the No11 shirt at the San Siro - which was most recently held by Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Rivaldo, Carlo Ancelotti and Jean-Pierre Papin are among the prestigious names to have previously won the number for Milan.

Pulisic departs Chelsea after 145 games for the west London club, scoring 26 goals including in the Champions League semi-final clash with Real Madrid before he helped the team win the trophy in 2021.
