Chelsea's on-loan star Tammy Abraham labelled his England Under-21 debut on Tuesday as "perfect" after the forward scored twice at Banks's Stadium.

Abraham, who is currently spending the season on loan at Championship side Bristol City, scored in each half as Aidy Boothroyd's side secured a 5-0 win over Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Abraham has now netted 13 times for both club and country since the season began and, following the victory, the 19-year-old admitted his first England U21 start could not have gone better.

"It went perfect for me," Abraham told FATV.

"The boys knew what we had to do. Obviously we are through so we just had to go out there and give our all.

"It was a brilliant performance and I'm glad to get my two goals."

He added: "I like scoring goals and that's what I aim to do every time I step out there on the pitch. The boys provided for me today and luckily I got my two goals.

"I just need to keep getting in those positions and scoring and taking my chances. Every time I'm out there, just keep giving my all for the team."

Boothroyd was also impressed, but insisted Abraham's talents are very different to Manchester United's 18-year-old striker Marcus Rashford, who has broken into the England senior team since first starring for the Red Devils in the Europa League earlier this year.

"He is a good finisher, has a really good, enthusiastic, optimistic outlook on life. He wants to play every minute and is not only a goalscorer but he can score in different positions, with his head and his feet. He is a team player and puts a shift in and he knows that because he's been with me for a couple of years now," he said.

"They [Abraham and Marcus Rashford] are different. Marcus can play down the middle or on the left or the right, while Tammy is more of an out and out centre forward. He's somebody else that has been given a chance and he's shown what he's all about. Sometimes that is what it's all about."
