Chelsea midfielder Eden Hazard believes Zinedine Zidane is the greatest player of all time, and praised the current Real Madrid coach for scoring important goals in some of the biggest games of his career.
Hazard is a known admirer of Zidane, who led Los Blancos to the Champions League final on Wednesday night when Real beat Manchester City 1-0 in Madrid.
While having enjoyed a positive few months in his first senior coaching role, Zidane also tasted much success during his playing career.
The Frenchman inspired Real to their ninth Champions League title in 2002 with one of the most memorable goals ever, although his time in Madrid isn't the only reason Zidane is considered as one of the best players in the history of the game.
The former attacking midfielder won the 1998 Ballon d'Or trophy during his time with Juventus and the World Cup with France on home soil later that year, while his trophy cabinet also includes the 2000 European Championship along with every other major title in the game.
Such was the 43-year-old's style of play and indeed success on the pitch that Hazard believes Zidane is the greatest player of all time.
"He’s the best ever," Hazard told Chelsea's official Facebook page during the club's kit launch on Wednesday. "He was elegant when he played. He wasn’t quick but he could do everything with the ball.
"He scored a lot of important goals in finals, like in the World Cup and the Champions League."
