Diego Costa has warned opposition defences that he hasn't yet found his best form despite the Chelsea striker scoring the winning goal against West Brom on Sunday.

Costa netted his 12th Premier League goal of the season in the 76th minute at Stamford Bridge after he latched onto Cesc Fabregas' ball, ran towards the goal, cut in and then fired a superb effort into the back of the net.

The strike earned Costa the man of the match award and ensures that the 28-year-old remains top of the goalscoring charts in the English top-flight - with one more than Arsenal's Alexis Sanchez.

But Costa admitted after the win, which keeps Chelsea three points clear of their nearest rivals Arsenal at the summit of the league table, that he isn't yet playing at his best although he feels he is in "great" form.

"I am in great form, but not the best," Costa told BT Sport.

"The best way to attack is to defend well, They had a few chances in the beginning, but we are well compact, organised and strong and that makes it easier for the way we attack."

Fabregas, who has set up Costa for two crucial goals in the last two games, admitted his pass for the winner against West Brom was "good" but insisted his compatriot did all the hard work.

"It was a good pass but it was all about Diego for the goal, he made the pass special," Fabregas said.

"He fought for the ball. We had to push them but I think the game is asking for a change for something and I glad for that."
