Antonio Conte believes Chelsea captain John Terry has what it takes to go into coaching in the future.

Terry, who turned 36 this week, is believed to have been offered a role by the Football Association within the England set-up.

The former England captain has been taking his coaching badges for some time and has admitted he would be interested in going into management in the future.

He could have a choice to make soon with Chelsea unlikely to offer him a new deal when his contract expires at the end of the season, although the defender is being targeted by three clubs in the Chinese Super League.

Conte feels there is no need for Terry to rush his decision and said: “John has great experience. I think this is very important. Now it's important to be focused to play because, now, he's a footballer.

“I think that it's important what he feels in himself. His soul. And then to decide if, in the future, he can take this decision to become a manager. I think he can (be a coach), for sure.”
