Christian Pulisic has described the prospect of playing in the Premier League as a "dream" and says he cannot wait to join Chelsea ahead of his summer arrival.

The Blues agreed a deal to sign the American starlet from Borussia Dortmund for a fee of £57.5 million in January, with the 20-year-old spending the second half of the season back on loan at the Bundesliga club.

Pulisic has seen his game time reduced due to injuries and a loss of form, scoring just four goals in 19 appearances, but the winger could still win the Bundesliga title before heading back to London.

For now, Pulisic says he is focused on finishing the season on a high with Dortmund but admits he is already looking forward to joining up with his new team-mates ahead of the 2019-20 campaign.

"It feels amazing and I’m super excited to get started with Chelsea," Pulisic told the club's official website.

"Obviously I have a season to finish off with Dortmund but I’m definitely looking forward to be here [with Chelsea].

"It’s going to be an amazing experience, one I can’t wait for, and to be here in England, speaking English again and meeting all the guys is something I’m thrilled for.

"I’ve been waiting a long time for this and playing in the Premier League has been one of my biggest dreams. To be a Chelsea player is a huge honour and something I’m really excited for."

Pulisic, who will become the second American to play for the west London club after Matt Miazga, singled out midfielder N'Golo Kante as the player he is looking forward to playing with.

Notably, the American did not mention Eden Hazard, with the Belgian expected to depart for Real Madrid this summer and the man Pulisic could replace in the long-term.

"I’m excited to play alongside N’Golo Kante, I think he’s a fantastic player and I can’t wait to meet him," he added.

"Also there’s the guys in the backline, players like David Luiz and [Antonio] Rudiger, I’m looking forward to working with them and I think it’s going to be really cool."
