Chelsea will be lining up with a new attacking threat in Christian Pulisic at the start of next season.
The Blues have today confirmed a deal to sign the USA international from Borussia Dortmund for £57.5million. The 20-year-old will remain on loan at BVB until the end of the 2018-19 season.
Many view Pulisic’s arrival at Stamford Bridge as another indication that Eden Hazard is leaving the club. However, sources within Chelsea suggest the deal to bring the American to London is unrelated to the futures of any of their players – including Hazard.
Chelsea still hope to tie Hazard down to a new contract with the Belgian’s current deal set to expire in the summer of 2020.
Maurizio Sarri will hope to line up with Hazard down the left and new signing Pulisic down the right next season; a frightening prospect for Premier League defenders.

Pulisic has shown for both club and country he can be equally adept playing through the middle.
However, Sarri’s current system suggests a place out on the right could be his natural home during his first season in English football.
While limited to just five starting appearances in the Bundesliga this campaign, most of Pulisic's football during his previous two seasons at BVB has come playing out on that flank - although he has also taken up roles on the left and through the centre.
