Antonio Conte's champions, meanwhile, will need to secure a second victory of the season over Spurs if they are to reduce the gap and keep alive their hopes of securing a top-four spot.
The derby will be made all the more interesting given that Tottenham striker Harry Kane may not recover from an ankle injury in time to play, while there are doubts over the fitness of Chelsea duo Thibaut Courtois and Andreas Christensen.
