Chelsea were handed a major boost today after Diego Costa and Pedro trained before the second leg of their last-16 Champions League clash with Paris Saint-Germain tomorrow night.

Costa missed the 1-1 draw with Stoke on Saturday due to a tendon injury and was still not fit to be involved with the group yesterday.

However, the Spain international, who has scored 10 goals in his last 14 appearances, showed no sign of discomfort as he took part in the session this lunchtime.

Pedro was also involved having sat out the last two matches with a hamstring problem, while Brazilian Kenedy is fit again after a groin problem.

But as feared, captain John Terry did not take part due to injury and will miss out tomorrow.

Meanwhile, Cesar Azpilicueta insists Chelsea are not lacking self-belief despite their disastrous defence of the Premier League title.

He said: "We have as much confidence as the other years. We know that we’re a good team, that we have the means to knock out PSG, even if they are among the sides that are very difficult to play.

"With Guus Hiddink we’ve climbed up the table well."
