Eden Hazard was named only among the substitutes as Chelsea sought a victory over Norwich to return to the top of the Premier League and condemn their visitors to an almost certain relegation.

Hazard, criticised by manager Jose Mourinho for his role in Chelsea's Champions League elimination, was removed as one of five changes following Wednesday's loss to Atletico Madrid, with Frank Lampard, Nemanja Matic, Mohamed Salah, Andre Schurrle and Demba Ba coming in.

Norwich, three points off safety ahead of their penultimate game of the season, made three changes from the side which lost 4-0 at Manchester United, with Johan Elmander, Alex Tettey and Ryan Bennett starting.

Chelsea: Schwarzer, Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry, Cole, Lampard, Matic, Salah, Willian, Schurrle, Ba. Subs: Luiz, Torres, van Ginkel, Hazard, Eto'o, Kalas, Hilario.

Norwich: Ruddy, Martin, Ryan Bennett, Turner, Whittaker, Johnson, Snodgrass, Howson, Tettey, Olsson, Elmander. Subs: Bassong, van Wolfswinkel, Fer, Hooper, Bunn, Elliott Bennett, Redmond.
