Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain dropped to the bench as Arsene Wenger's men went out in search of revenge at Stamford Bridge.

The Gunners lost 6-0 at Stamford Bridge last season in what was Wenger's 1000th game in the Arsenal dugout.

And the Frenchman has made just one change, brining Jack Wilshere into his starting XI for the trip across London.

Meanwhile, Jose Mourinho reintroduced Cesar Azpilicueta, after the Spaniard dropped to the bench for Chelsea's Champions League victory over Sporting Lisbon.

Filipe Luis was named among the substitutes after starting in Portugal on Tuesday and Cesc Fabregas starts against his former club.

Diego Costa starts his third game in a week despite ongoing hamstring troubles.

Chelsea: Courtois, Ivanovic, Cahill, John Terry, Azpilicueta; Matic, Fabregas; Schurrle, Oscar, Hazard; Diego Costa.

Arsenal: Szczesny, Chambers, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Gibbs, Wilshere, Flamini, Cazorla, Ozil, Alexis, Welbeck
