Jose Mourinho has made it clear that contract rebel Mohamed Salah is not part of his plans by leaving him out of Chelsea’s pre-season tour of North America.

Salah has caused uproar by refusing to rejoin Fiorentina on loan for next season despite the club having already paid Chelsea £700,000 for his services.

The Egypt international’s future is still to be resolved but Mourinho is not letting him train with the first team squad. Significantly, he was not on the plane that arrived at Chelsea’s base in Montreal this morning.

Inter Milan are now having second thoughts about buying Salah but Napoli have been linked with a £15.7m offer for the 23-year-old.

However, Salah’s agent Ramy Abbas said: “An offer from Napoli? I don’t know anything about it. Nobody has ever told me about an offer from Napoli. At the moment there’s no chance he’ll go to Napoli.”
