German side Borussia Monchengladbach remain keen to sign highly-rated Chelsea centre-back Andreas Christensen on a permanent deal.

The 20-year-old Dane is in the middle of a two-year loan deal at Gladbach, where he has become a first-team regular.

Gladbach are in the play-off round for the Champions League later next week and sporting director Max Eberl said on Monday that a win against Swiss side Young Boys could make a difference.

“We absolutely want to sign him. Now it depends on money,” said Eberl.
